Highs & Lows

What Happens When pH Goes Off Track

Think of pH like a lock. Too high or too low, and you slam the door on your plant’s ability to feed. Let’s break it down:

📉 pH Too Low (Acidic)

  • Roots get “burned out” by excess acidity.
  • Nutrients like calcium and magnesium become unavailable.
  • Leaves may curl, twist, or show rusty spots.

💡 Tip: Flush with neutral water, then reset with proper pH.

📈 pH Too High (Alkaline)

  • Iron, zinc, and phosphorus lock out.
  • Plants turn pale, slow down, and lose vigor.
  • Buds may stay small and weak.

💡 Tip: Use a mild acidic flush, then dial in with pH Down.

🌱 Golden Rule: Don’t Chase Deficiencies

Most “nutrient problems” are actually pH problems in disguise. Before dumping more nutes, check the pH first.

🔥 The Kinnabis Takeaway: High pH or low pH—it doesn’t matter. Both will strangle your grow. Stay in the zone and your plants will thank you with big, sticky rewards.
